About Us:

Dae Do Sah (pronounced "day" "dough" "sah", meaning: "Temple of the Great Tao") is a Zen meditation group in Rockville, MD with a sister group in Adams Morgan. The Guiding Teacher for Dae Do Sah is Zen Master Dae Gak of Furnace Mountain. In addition to regular meditation practice, there are also retreats in both Rockville and Adams Morgan. We are a small and somewhat informal group, and we have been in existence since the fall of 1998.

Zen Master Dae Gak, is a an American who has studied Zen in both the Japanese and Korean traditions. In 1994 he received Transmission from the Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn. He is a clinical psychologist and the author of " Going Beyond Buddha". He is the guiding teacher for several groups in the US and Europe, and has also led retreats in Australia and Korea.
