• The three year program of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies
• Tom Cowan's two-year program in Celtic Shamanism
• Sandra Ingerman's two year Shamanic teachers training program
Deanna is also an ordained minister with the Circle of the Sacred Earth, a church founded on Shamanic Practices. Deanna currently leads a journey group she founded in 1997 that meets in her office. Her Acupuncture practice runs alongside her Shamanic practice.
Deanna is a Maryland Licensed Acupuncturist, and is Nationally Certified (Dipl. of Ac. NCCAOM). She has a separate website for her Acupuncture practice. While in acupuncture school, Deanna was introduced to Shamanism when Eliot Cowan, author of Plant Spirit Medicine, taught there. After graduation, Deanna began pursuing Shamanic studies and has taken additional courses with Eliot Cowan, Sandra Ingerman, author of Soul Retrieval, and Welcome Home, and with Tom Cowan, author of Fire in the Head: Shamanism in the Celtic Spirit, and Shamanism as a Spiritual Practice for Everyday Life.
Deanna is available, by appointnment, for Shamanic Healing and Counseling. She has been trained in both Shamanic Extraction Healing, and Soul Retrieval. Deanna is also an ordained minister and is licensed to perform weddings, and other rite of passage rituals, such as funerals.
